THE UNMERITED FAVOUR

Topic: FAVOUR UNMERITED
BIBLE READING: Corinthians 15:9-10
MEMORIZE: But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me (1Cor 15:10).
The word 'grace' was mentioned about 166 times in the Bible, and is a prominent word in Paul's life and writings. It is defined as the unmerited, undeserved favour of God. It is the gift of God to mankind; His infinite love, mercy, favour, and goodwill shown to mankind. It is a very common word in Paul's writings. Everything God did and still does for us in Christ is based on grace. Paul attributed his salvation and apostleship on God's grace.
How are we experiencing the grace? God's grace manifest itself in divine favour, enablement and blessings. Esther was favoured among her contemporaries to become a queen, even as a captive in a foreign land (Esther 2:9, 15, 17). Paul was empowered to do exploits through grace, even beyond those before him (Eph. 3:7-8).
Remember, the GRACE of God is there provisionally to do all things promotion, provision, healing, good family, etc., but all of these must be made REAL by the release of your FAITH in God.
We also have received countless blessings in Christ, by His grace (cf. John 1:14). Grace is given to us every day; faith is the response to this offer. Are you responding appropriately? Today and always, may His grace be yours continually, in Jesus' name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord God, may I not be condemned for Your grace I receive.
2. Lord, help us as believers to come to the throne of mercy for all things through faith.
3. Lord, help all believers to grow in grace and in knowledge, so as to expand Your kingdom on earth, in Jesus' name.
