Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 2:5-11

The devil is humans' archenemy and he's very crafty. Since tricking Adam and Eve to disobey God in Eden, he has continued to device varied and subtle means to make men and women sin against God. And sadly, many Christians fall prey to his deceptions. Paul, in his second letter to the church at Corinth, warns Christians against the devil's strategies and tricks,"lest satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices"(2Cor 2:11). Satan thrives on Christians ignorance, so to avoid joining the multitudes who have given up their Heavenly inheritance, you must know and beware of his strategies.

THE DEVIL'S STRATEGIES ARE:

Lies:

Of course, one of his most employed strategies is deception, the Scripture describes satan as the father of lies(John 8:44) and because he is much older and wiser than humans are, he uses lies or damnable heresies to deceive and draw Christians away from God. The doctrine of eternal security is one heresy preached in some churches today. The doctrine teaches that once you re born again, you're forever a christian, even when you commit sin or lead a sinful lifestyle after conversion. Clearly, this is unscriptural (Ezekiel 3:20). 

Self-righteousness or religiosity is also a deception of the devil, "if your righteousness(alms-giving, tithing, charity and church attendance) exceeds your unrighteousness(fraud,lying,gossip,fornication and other sins), you're in right standing with God" is a lie the devil tells through false teachers and pastors.

Distractions:

Another strategy the devil frequently employs to lead the christian astray is distraction, He diverts your attention from seeking spiritual things to pursuing material wealth and the fads of the world. Aside distraction, he uses discouragement too, he knows that when u re discourage as a christian, you might give up on God and even on life itself. You will cease to believe God's infallible word and promises, and that will damn your soul.

Discord:

The devil also employs the strategy of discord, because he understands the power of unity, he goes on to sow discord among Christians (1 Cor 1:10-11), and where there is discord among brethren, God's Presence disappears, of course, when the Presence of God disappears from a christian gathering, the blessings and Power of God also cease to manifest there, where discord and disunity thrive, brotherly love and fellowship give way to strife and cold war among Christians and that leads to backsliding of a church.

What You Should Do Now:

Believe and accept the fact that devil has strategies and you must overcome at all times. This knowledge of the devil's strategies to destroy your soul is meant to arm you from being undone by him.

Be watchful and Prayerful: so as a Christian, be watchful and prayerful(1 Peter 5:8). 

Be Born Again:

And if you re not yet born again...you can do that today by believing that Jesus died for you,confess n forsake your sins(prov 28:13) and invite Jesus into your life to take absolute control.

Total separation from evil and unrighteousness: Never allow yourself to be use for evil works, and make sure you engaging in righteousness practices.

Total Concentration to the things of God: Colossians 3:1-3. Be addicted to the things of God. Let heaven be your focus and target. Never allow anything to derail you from God's mission

PRAYER BOMBS

1. My Father and my God, empower me and instructed me all the time to know the devil strategies

2. Every activities of demonic power before are hereby destroy by fire and thunder of God in the name of Jesus 

3. All the hands of demonic forces on my way are cut off and scatter by thunder of God in the name of Jesus

4. By the grace of God, I will not fall to any devil strategies in the name of Jesus

5. Every pity that had been dogged by the enemies before me is closed up by the Blood of Jesus

6. Devil will not have say over my life in the name of Jesus

7. With power of most High God, I remove my life, business, job, work, academic, marriage family and ministry from the camp of devil strategies in the name of Jesus
